In addition, the same NYT mentioned that there's a show in Germany called "Pimp my Fahrrad", based on the MTV show (which I've never seen) called "Pimp my Ride". Anyone seen it?

And I've not had a chance to read it, but the latest Outside has an article about billionaire CEO bike racing enthusiasts. Those list members who take the line that their bikes are a portfolio with wheels may well be proven correct.
