If you're not the original owner, it's more likely that some previous owner trimmed the fork a little too short. A Campy Pista or GS would indeed work, and there are also nice Japanese (Tange and Shimano) units with short stacks (I don't have my Sutherland's handy, so I can't give you specific models).
