I seem to recall reading on an earlier post about removing decals with GooGone, or another 'citrus' type cleaner.

On my tx700 Trek frame, I tried it on the tattered Reynolds decals, and didn't have great luck. I resisted using anything nasty/harsh (even though the great condition DuPont Emron was underneath) I followed another persons idea of using 800 wet'dry to break the surface... and rubbed with cotton rags - and ended up getting some of the decals off that way.

Just wondered if there are any other cleaners like GooGone that might work with old decals ??

Thanks all - and Happy Fathers Day !
