On offer to the list is a W.B.Hurlow complete bicycle. The frame is 21 ½ inch seat tube with a 22 inch top tube as measured center to center. This frame dates from approximately 1975 as evidenced by the “short” Campagnolo dropouts. She is constructed of Reynolds 531 double butted tubing and is fully lugged. The lugs are wonderfully cut out by the hands of “The frame builder’s frame builder”; William B.Hurlow.

The original finish is British racing green in color with gold lug lining and white lettering and a Hurlow “H” shield decal on the head tube. The condition of the finish is quite good. However a few minor chips have been the price she has paid for her age. There are no dents or dings.

This fine cycle is equipped with a complete Campagnolo Nuovo Record gruppo including: Campagnolo Nuovo Record 5 speed crankset (170mm) with a 48 tooth Campagnolo chainring, Phil Wood bottom bracket movement, Campagnolo Nuovo Record chrome steel pedals (with toe clip loops) have Binda straps and Christophe steel toe clips, Campagnolo Nuovo record headset, Campagnolo Nuovo Record rear derailleur ( “73” date stamp), Campagnolo Nuovo Record 5 speed down tube clamp-on single shift lever, Campagnolo Nuovo Record seat pillar (27.2), and Campagnolo Nuovo Record brakes (with “flat” quick release). The rear brake utilizes a Campagnolo drop bolt and three Campagnolo top tube cable clips hold the rear brake cable.

Wheels are Campagnolo Nuovo Record high flange 36 hole hubs laced in a cross 3 pattern with DT stainless steel 14/15 gauge spokes on to “DURALCA” Swiss alloy tubular rims. Continental “Giro”tubular tyres have been fitted and are glued up and ready to ride. Quick releases are of the “straight” style. A suntour Winner freewheel and a Sedisport chain move the power to the rear. These wheels run straight and true.

Cinelli handlebars (40 cm. wide) and a Cinelli stem (115 cm.) are attached up front.

A set of Honjo fenders round out this truly fine cycle.

A saddle will NOT be provided; Brooks is recommended.

This fine and rare cycle is completely road worthy and now ready for your full enjoyment.
