This is the very rare trigger that will only work with the ASC close ratio fixed 3 speed hub gear. Some time ago a British chap I made contact with built a batch of these from conventional 4 speed triggers. I bought a spare trigger from this batch.
A genuine ASC trigger is based upon a standard 4 speed trigger but with modified internals to suit the different cable pull required by the ASC. The maker of my trigger has dismantled the trigger, reground the profiles to exactly match the original and then reassembled with a new front plate. The front plate has the artwork based upon a scan from a genuine trigger, it is a transfer (decal) instead of an engraving. The plate is nickel instead of chrome.
In the pictures (see link below) I have given a side by side comparison with a genuine NOS ASC trigger. This NOS genuine ASC trigger is not for sale and is not part of the auction, it is shown only to provide a direct comparison. You are buying the trigger on the LEFT in all the pictures.
