Two left feet?

Ok, so I'm building up a fixed gear, and I have a Campagnolo Pista crankset I want to use. It's a 144BCD crank with 9/16 x 20F stamped at the pedal hole, but it also has a large "S" near the pedal hole. This thing has reverse pedal threads on the drive side!

What's the story here? None of my other cranks are like this. How do I deal with this puppy? Do I have to thieve a left-hand spindle and put a right-side body on it? Why the heck is this crank the way it is?

Anybody have a spare left-hand pedal spindle laying around for a Campy Pista pedal? How about a left-hand pedal spindle for a Dura-Ace 7400 Pista?

I was so smoothly spiraling in to completion of this bike. Grrr.

Cheers,
