Subject: [CR]Hub dust cover removal

It seems amazing to me that people would make more work and risk damaging the hub by removing the cover for other than installing the hub cup race which almost never fails. Did Campy really design these for removal? Normandy hubs had a permanant aluminum ring installed during manufacturing after installation on the Bearing cup race. I never had a problem cleaning any hub even without anything more than a sprig of wd-40. I recommend just chasing the old grease out of the cups with a piece of twisted paper towel. I think some people might start destroying these hard to find caps feeling the proper way to overhaul a hub is to disassemble everything possible, my view is to disassemble only what you must and keep that vintage torqued drive side Campy lock nut untouched.
