Wes Oishi: Can someone tell me when my Bridgestone "Sirrius" was made? Was it Rivendell inspired, like the RB-1? Or did Rivendell have anything to do with the RB-1?

All the Named-After-a-Star Bridgestone models I've come across (4 to be close) usually date to the early 80's. The four I've seen seem to be well thought out, constucteur-like, with mid-range componentry. I have an Antares touring bike equipped with Suntour Blue line drivetrain, DiaCompe cantis, aluminum fenders, front and rear racks, double eyelets front and rear and Suntour ratchet barcons. To paraphrase Jan, it gives you the feeling the whole is greater than the parts which is pretty good for a basic Japanese production machine from that period. I don't know if Grant was part of the Bridgestone operation at this time.
