Arno,

I also have a mid-1970s Fiorelli, and trying to research the links between Fiorelli, Coppi, and associated manufacturers is like trying to sort out the family heritage of rabbits. Your frame is just as likely to have had Fiorelli decalls as Coppi decals, and some of them even came from the factory as Coppi-Fiorelli (or maybe Fiorelli-Coppi). Most of them seem to be workman-like construction, never intended to be artisan produced frames. They are good, standard issue Italian frames of the 70s. I have never seen a cheap, department store bike-boom Fiorelli, but I'm not aware of any that were intended to be wall hangers either. Put on whatever decals you choose (try Masi if you want to get some real attention!) and enjoy riding the bike.
