Listers and Listees,

It is my understanding that Mercier offered the 100, 200 and 300 series for sale here in the state. The 100 was a low end entry level bike. The 200 was built on a steel frame (not Reynolds) with chromed fork and stays with Juy Simplex dropouts and Simplex Prestige derailleurs. I have seen several 200 models that had a Poulidor bike rider foil decal on the seat tube. I would imagine they were paying tribute to the guy. The 300 would have been the top of the line with a Reynolds 531 F&F, probably similar or better then a Gitane TdF or Peugeot PX-10. I am not sure of the componentry.

The Mercier being auctioned on Ebay is built with eyelets on the rear drops. Not a very good indicator of a "Team" bike. Any thoughts to the contrary?
