[CR]Upgrading http://wooljersey.com/gallery today

Many of you have noticed that the search function is broken on http://wooljersey.com/gallery . It's because the gallery has exceeded the size that the software can index, according to one of the software maintainers with whom I spoke. I am running the 1.X version of the software, and I will upgrade it to the 2.X version today, which stores its data in a database instead of text files, among other changes. This is a big upgrade. The gallery could be down, or... weird for much of today. I'm not exactly sure how the upgrade will go, but there is an upgrade path. Just letting you know.

Also, I would like to find a responsible, techie, helpful person in touch with the classic bicycle scene to handle requests for new accounts, check that the requesters have cool bikes to share, help with questions, etc. I am frankly out of the loop WRT classic bikes lately, busy with work and family and racing, and have fallen behind in granting new accounts. Let me know if you're interested in this job. Aldo, you'd be a good person for this if you want it.

Classic content: I'll be doing the Marin (metric) Century on my birthday, August 5th, with my nine-year-old Sam on our 1980 Santana Tandem, still period correct except for tires. It's blue. Say hi if you see us. I hope to make a Bay Area vintage ride in the next few months, while I take a break from racing and gear up for cyclocross season.

And while I'm talking: If any of you have a pair of tandem wheels with nice hubs suitable for a 1970s Cycles Gitane tandem (Reynolds 531, $175 on craigslist) that you'd sell, please let me know.
