Has anyone ever seen a child's size road bike? I mean something along the lines of 16" or smaller wheels. One of our local shops, The Recyclery has not one, but TWO gorgeous orange Libertas bikes in this tiny size. The lugwork is gorgeous, leather saddles, the whole 9 yards! One of them is a 3 speed (Huret rear der) and the other is a single speed. They will not sell them but I would love to find one or similar for my son and hang it on the wall when he outgrows it.

They also have a 3rd childs bike that they believe is a Motobecane which is set up as a fixed gear.

If you're in or near Portland, OR you have to check these out. I can probably go snap some pics if anyone is interested. Also, the shop is holding a swap meet/party this coming Saturday Aug 6.

Also, I am restoring my Kuwahara Apollo Imperial that I posted questions about and will have some pics soon. I am taking a bit of creative license and I hope it turns out OK. Thank you very much for the kind and generous e-mails. I did find a set of black Dura Ace calipers on ebay for a fair price and a set of (gorgeous quality) Modolo levers in black for an even better price.
