When I got into this group, I was seriously considering taking a course/turtoring/apprenticing/whatever's available to build a frame or two for myself. Scaling the challenge of doing the one thing remaining I've never done with a bicycle. Stuff like that, you know, going to one's grave knowing you've tried everything available.
Then I catch this month's battle. If this is the kind of attitude one gets from knowing how to build a bicycle frame, thank you, no. I'll just happily continue to rescue Gitane's and Rossin's from the trash and forgotten back sheds and put them on the road.
Hell, I'd rather just jump on my Harley, grab the rest of the brothers in my club and go out for an evening of drinking, groping at cheap women, terrorizing the mundanes, and possibly picking up a punch-up with another club. It strikes me as a higher class way to spend my time than tapping the keys for a piss-off session over the Internet.
