Following on from Charlie Andrew's comments regarding Carpenter transfers. In my experience they are far from somewhat crude as someone appeared to suggest. I have always found the transfers from Lloyds of very high quality and a near as anyone would get to the originals.Do'nt let us forget the well known suppliers and frame builders in the past did'nt always come up to scratch , it was the skill of installing these items which could make or break a perfect professional finish.
I have never had to contact Nick at Lloyds because the persons restoring my frames have always purchase them direct and with their expertise of fitting they are a first class product infact a perfect reproduction!.
