a screwdriver is pretty basic to all aspects of craftsmanship if for little else it is to maintain the tools. Craftsmanship is an attitude, an can be applied to anything including construction. demolition exposed a lot of attitudes and levels of consideration and workmanship in another life of light construction

exactly. from what distant from the hand do you consider handwork? can

this be operating a tablesaw? torch? lathe? handplane, scraper? how about CNC?

I do, because of a certain empathy in how much time and effort has to be

applied to a process. When someone has not done handwork, it is usually

hard to envision.

I certainly hope this is true and i prefer your take on it than mine. YOu may have more experience than i do.

It is certainly assisted with the expanded network that this and other lists have afforded- and of course, ebay. or maybe we perceive it this w ay?

it is certainly a pleasure Chuck, gabriel
