Subject: [CR]Ebay: And now the Zc Zorge Touring Frame...

The Zc Zorge Touring frame/fork on Ebay tonight not only has the loooooooooongest chain stays ever brazed to a custom frame; it exudes a positively sphinx like smugness regarding its origins. A quick eyeballing of the CR archives and the Deeter Guide yield zilch. So far, there are but two utterly unsupported hypotheses about the origin of the Zc Zorge Touring frame and fork pictured on Ebay at the following ID#: 320015078794

1. The first Zorgian hypothesis is that this bike comes from the town of Zorge in the region of Lower Saxony in Germany. In this hypothesis the builder is Zc bicycles of Zorge and the Zorge on the DT actually designates this as a rental bike made by Zc for use by tourists staying at the Pension Birgit in Zorge. This hypothesis even goes so far as to posit that a CR list member actually road the bike from Zorge to the Baltic Sea, mounted a paddle wheel in the back and, using a wet suit, synthetic testosterone and a cadence adapted from Shoeless Floyd Landis' infamous Stage 17 ride, pedal-paddled for 92 days before succumbing to heart failure just 16 yards shy of the shore of Martha's Vineyard. Alas, there are three problems with this hypothesis: a) police never found a body; b) police never found a paddle wheel; and c) police never found any synthetic testosterone.

2. A second hypothesis is posited by another list member who asked not to be identified (for obvious reasons as you shall soon read). In this Zorgian hypothesis, it is posited that one CR list member with at least 47 distinct schizoid personalities accidentally under-medicated and had an extended psychotic episode in which he began brazing frames uncontrollably under the alternate, single-name identity of Zorge, which is actually Egroz spelled backwards. Of the five frames he completed before being forcibly injected with his lithium, he allegedly destroyed four frames by thermite baths, and would have destroyed the fifth had he not forgotten he had shipped it to Mr.Joe Bell for painting. There are but two problems with this hypothesis: a)it does not explain the Zc in Zc Zorge; and b) Mr. Bell denies ever having painted a Zc Zorge.

Due to the deficiencies of the above hypotheses, any other hypotheses list members might offer about the origins of the Zc Zorge Touring frame and fork would be appreciated.

Note: submitted hypotheses must not only observe conventional CR List rules of etiquette, but they must also be 40 words or less AND must make absolutely NO derrogatory remarks about anyone or anything in this universe, or in a parallel universe, or in any regions of future expansions of either this universe or other parallel universes, or in any higher or lower dimensions not yet discovered.

Please address responses to dcwilson3@yahoo.com with the subject line: "OFF LIST (CR) What the Heck is A Zc Zorge? Hypothesis". All hypotheses will of course be kept in strictest confidence unless someone wants to know.
