So there you have it, right from the horse's mouth! For some reason I distinctly remember our club being the Dragon Roads Club (with an 's') back in England in the mid-fifties. Doesn't really make sense today, which is maybe why the 's' was dropped. In the fifties cycling was emerging from the dark ages where only black jerseys were allowed and organized massed start racing (as opposed to time trials) was unlawful over there. The British League of Racing Cyclists (BLRC) was emerging and soon it was just like the rest of Europe.
