Subject: [CR]Fatty Tubular tires

Hi:

I just got my 69 White Raleigh Pro on the road for the 1st time. 1st thing I notices was how weak those Weinmann centerpulls are as I slowly rear ended a taxi in New York. No damage to me or bike. Would love to solve that issue. Besides that I am totally excited and surprised. The bike fits me better than my early 80s Colnago Masterlight. I wanted to tell list members about a great find. I put Tufo D28 tubulars on. They are 700x28 wide and awesome. Like big balloons. Really comfortable. They even come in a 30mm width. The 28s just fit the rear stays with the adjusters in the middle position. My LBS could not believe I wanted to put such wide tires on, but in my very short ride home from the bike shop, was really happy with them. Them come in a diamond tread pattern which you do not feel at all. Hoping to get some pictures up soon. Any help on improving braking power is very welcome.
