I have been researching the cycling history in and around Chesterfield/ North Derbyshire area, and on my travels and in meeting people related to and with an interest or history of club and or proffessional cycling I have come across such things ,I have also been given whole machines and spares from the 50's era...the worst I have come across to date is a completely original Allen of Ripley(Derbyshire) 531 clubman machine just needing an oil rag wiping over it, it is complete with period bell ,bag, speedometer, lights, dyno, saddle etc...but the guy will not let it go he'd rather keep it in its damp shed even though he admitted to being tempted to give it to the local kids for using on the fields!!!!
