Subject: [CR]Huret Rear Derailleur Mounting

An offlist question from another member that I could not answer motivates me to ask a question about something that has long confused me - proper mounting of Huret rear derailleurs.

Many Huret RD's, including Duopar, were keyed to accept a keyed washer, the other side of which had a tab which contacted the dropout to limit RD rotation. I believe there were three different washers, for Campy, Simplex and Huret DO's. Which one was which? I believe at one time John Barron's Velostuf site had a picture of the three washers, with the caption "You know which one you need." Trouble is, I never did know. Anyone got a photo of these washers, with an explanation of which is for which DO? Anyone still have the washers for sale? Also, Huret DO's always looked similar to Campy to me. Do the two actually require different keyed washers? Why?

Am I correct in believing that the Jubilee RD did not use the keyed washers? I believe there were actually different versions of the RD body itself, with the Campy and Huret versions incorporating a shoulder which engaged the DO notch. Were Campy and Huret versions of the Jubilee the same or separate? What did the Simplex version look like? Anyone have photos of both/ all three versions of the Jubilee?
