Subject: [CR]ASC and trigger for sale

My usual lack of retraint in buying classic machines means that I need to raise some cash, and this time, it's my 1949 ASC and a correct ASC trigger, which I'm offering to the list members. If no takers, they will go on eBay.

Details as follows:

The hub has an alloy shell , with sound spoke holes. It has been overhauled by Hilary Stone this month, and unused since. The trigger was overhauled by Phoenix Hub Gears a couple of months ago, and unused since. The hub is fitted with a 3-spline driver, for ease of obtaining sprockets. I can supply a 12-spline driver if required, but you would need to fit it. The indicator rod has a threaded (not quick release) end. The trigger face plate has been partly polished. There is some light scuffing on the shell. The oiler cover in the left hand ball cup is incomplete. Hilary has told me that this won't be a problem. The oiler in the shell is of the type with a hole sealed by a flap. These flaps tend to fail with age, and on my other hubs with this type of oiler, I put a blob of grease in the hole, and find that this seals fine.

Price will be GBP200, plus shipping. I bought the original hub and trigger for what I thought was a keen price, but when I cleaned the oily dirt off it, I found that one of the spoke holes was missing. I therefore bought this shell on eBay, at a cost of GBP108 plus shipping, and had Hilary overhaul and fit the internals from the damaged shell. With the original cost of purchase, the cost of the new shell and the cost of servicing the trigger and hub, I'm just about breaking even, but I need the cash!

I prefer payment via Paypal, if possible.
