fillet-brazing was a jack taylor (well, more rightly, norman taylor, for most of the tenure of the marque) speciality, moreso than their lugged work. some would argue that theres none finer - its certainly been a while since ive seen unfiled welds on a fillet-brazed frame that equalled normans work - anything you see on a taylor is as the torch left it. having watched film of norman brazing, its really quite astonishing how fast his beads were laid down - smooth, even, and the torch on the metal for the absolute minimum of time, often in a single pass with just a quick flick of the flame to even it out - but then, thats what brazing for 60 years will do for you :)
