BF was also known as Belleri. It was a big manufacturer mostly of alloy stems and handlebars, located in Saint Etienne, the big Franch industrial center which was home to many of the French bike & component manufacturers.

Some of their stuff was nice, but much was fairly plain and even crudely cast or forged and mainly intended as OEM equipment on lower range bikes.

They made quill stems in the 22.0 French diameter, of course, but also exported some in 22.2 mm diameters as well.

They seemed to hang on into the late 1970s and in later years I believe they combined with a few other surviving French bike equipment companies.

For a while they even had a US distribution center through which they channeled in some complete French bikes. The Sutter bicycle brand was one of their imports during the mid 70s
