Of course, if you're sure it has the original fork, that's another way to tell the International from other high-end Raleighs. In the early/mid 70's the Pro and Competition had a Cinelli-style full sloping fork crown. I don't think the International ever used this.

I'm no Raleigh expert, but that frame looks just like my recently acquired Competition. I believe that the International had chromed head lugs. If you carefully scrape away some paint off the head lugs and find chrome, then you're in luck.

It sure looks to have two top tube braze ons to me, but you say it only has one? Maybe I need glasses.

I recently picked up a frame off of craigslist. The guy selling it said it was an International and on the surface it looks like one. Serial number is G555, Nervex lugs, set up for centerpulls, chromed stays ( after stripping off a little paint ), campy dropouts and a raleigh head badge. It's not that I didn't believe the lime green airbrush logo but after looking at the retro raleigh site for paint ideas I noticed that all the Internationals shown have 2 cable stop braze ons at the front of the top tube ( http://www.sheldonbrown.com/ retroraleighs/international.html ) - this frame only has 1. It doesn't look like one of the braze ons was ground off/broken/removed. Did any Internationals have 1 stop at the front? Am I just insane?

Thanks for any info-
