I have recently joined this list after recieving a 1974 Raleigh Grand Prix through my college bike co-op that is badly in need of some love (and parts). I am not an experienced bike mechanic, but can't ride an aluminum or carbon-whatever frame and would love to get this bike on the road to commute to and from school.
What it needs most right now is a new front and rear 27" wheel set. By Dale's advice, I am looking to spend in the range of $50. If you have older wheels sitting around that are in decent enough condition for a 10 mile daily commute, please contact me.
