Richard Sachs passed along to me that Johnny Holland was the builder/owner of Knight Fabrications in Wolverhampton, England, so I think we've solved the question of identity for J.A. Holland. I recall a very comprehensive website about the Bicycling Industry that was based in Wolverhampton, but I can't find it in my files.
