Subject: [CR]Atala frame dating....help please if you can serial # provided

Hello all,

I have an Atala that I am unable to determine the serial number and match it up with a date code, or what the numbers are or mean concerning model. Could any of you Atala people help me. This bike has chrome lugsand the serial number is on the upper right of the seat stay. The number is # 69A1272. I dont know that much about vintage Atala's, but this example is similar to the Cinelli and Windsor, as it kind of flattens, and then joinsat the clamp area. The bike has Campagnolo long horizontal drops and Campy fork ends as well. Dimensions are as follows Rear stays 44cm ( c obb to rear of inside drop) Wheelbase 101cm Seat tube 60cm(c bb to top of tt) Top tube 57cm (c to c) Also, the lug work is the classical inward spearpointed lugs Thanks for any help you could possibly help me with. Respectfully, John D. Proch LaGrange, Texas
