Jerry,

I had no idea the mod. 99 came in so many varieties, thanks. The 99 right crank I am trying to match has the rounded shoulder with the 23.35 extractor threading as used on earlier Stronglight cranks, but I would take a left crank arm if it had 22 mm threading just so I had a match.

Jerry, this is why I normally ask you these obscure French parts related questions first. Eventually this young grasshopper with learn from the masters.

I could be wrong, but I didn't think there was any difference between a mod 93 and a mod 99 left arm, provided we are talking about mid-70's or earlier. The model 99 survived longer than the mod 93, and the late-70's/80's mod 99 arms had a more rounded profile, which I think was the same as mod 104.

If you are trying to match a mod 99 right arm, you should probably specify whether you want the later rounded left arm or the earlier more square (like mod 93) arm. Also, the mod 99 was made both with the old Stronglight 23.35 mm extractor thread and the later 22 mm Campy-compatible thread, so you probably should specify which you want. It is rather annoying to have to use two different crank extractors to remove one crankset. This could also be an issue with mod 105, and I think with mod 104.

I would like to trade a NOS Mod. 93, 170 left crank with English pedal threads for a Mod. 99 crank, same length, prefer French threading, but will consider English threading. Does not need to be NOS just looking for one in good shape to complete a pair. Please contact me off list if interested and can help.

Additionally, if you have a used Mod. 99 crank set in 175 or longer that you would consider trading for a NOS 170 set, let me know.
