I recently switched from a 52/42 set up to a 52/39 on my Suntour Superbe Pro crankset. When I am on the small chainring and the 2nd smallest cog (a legal combination), I get slight rubbing of the chain against the large chainring. I am using an 8 speed Sram chain and new Stronglight chainrings. Is there a tiny washer I can use to space out the chainrings a little further from each other to prevent the slight rubbing? I think it would only have to be a tiny brass washer. Has someone done this so that I don't have to reinvent the wheel?
