This may be pretty obvious to most, but I'm not certain about what I just recently acquired. It's a pair of Mavic tubular wheels, grey, and the decals say 'GP4' and 'Special Service des Courses'. The last one is gold-coloured and has black letters. I thought SSC rims were blue and said 'SSC'and not 'GP4'. Can anyone help?
There's also a small sticker that says 'Splendor'. This is because the wheels came on a Splendor Hitachi bike, which is very likely a former teambike; so the wheels are probably the real thing, I'm just not sure about that SSC designation. Next job of course is to find out whose bike this was .. If anyone has a source for that ...
