I bought a Canadian-made Raleigh for one of my sons. It was a 24 inch-wheeled gaspipe job and the quality was worse than junk -- they forgot to braze the fork blades into the crown (they were just held by tacking). It took a

while for them to give way, fortunately without causing any injury. I beli eve that they were made somewhere in southern Ontario. As you can imagine, I would never ride one of their products unless I had stripped the paint off to see what horrors might be lurking underneath.

Anybody else have a Raleigh made in Canada? My 1977 Raleigh Grand Prix Serial # RH 704874 has a decal on the seat tube next to the bottom bracket that reads: MANUFACTURED IN CANADA BY RALEIGH INDUSTRIES OF CANADA UNDER LICENSE FROM RALEIGH INDUSTRIES LIMITED. I\u77e5 curious to

know more about where in Canada, during what time period, and why they were made there. I used to think they were all made in Nottingham, England. Guess I was wrong.
