I have some more info on the Falcon Pista along with a working link to pics, (don't know why that link won't cut and paste right). First the link:

And now the additional history on the bike:

The bike was obviously quite a find. I bought it off a Cat 1 racer who was retiring and was in the process of selling off his rather extensive collection of vintage track and road bikes (in part to finance a Richard Sachs). Here's a link to some of his other bikes:

They're nearly all mint and they're all beautiful. Obviously the Falcon is off the market and the Orange Paramount was bought by a friend of mine, but as far as I know the rest are still avaliable (with the exception of the Colnago and the Masi Pista, he's keeping those I think). The seller is in South Wisconsin so if anyone's interested contact me and I'll forward you the sellers address.

The Falcon was an extra team bike for a team in New York state sposored by a bike shop owner. Being an extra the bike saw hardly any miles. After the team disbanded the shop owner put the bike on display in the shop for 20 some odd years. Chuck, the guy I bought it from, purchased it from the store owner about ten yrs ago, got it home, rode it around the block once before deciding it was too small for him and putting it on a rack, where it sat for 10 yrs. untill I got it. It was probably the luckiest find of my life so far. It's my first vintage bike, excluding my 74 Raleigh Supercourse, but I've so worked that bike over that it's unrecognizable.

Anyone from the NY area who this might ring any bells for is welcome to chime in. Thanks again for any info.
