Built in Adelaide. They started building frames just after 1900 and went right on through to the late '60s. They offered everything from gas-pipe recreational bikes to all-out racers, and sponsored many top riders from the '30s through the '50s. The retail bike store is still in business (they also have a couple of swim/surf shops), and was sold by the family to a long-time employee (Mirek Haas) in the late '90s.

I've done a bit of research on them. Probably boring to most of the list members, so email me privately if you want more details. I have examples from the '20s, '30s, '50s and '60s. Three of those are projects, one is complete. To see it go to: http://www.wooljersey.com/gallery/Red-Super-Elliotts

Some of you have seen this one on vintage rides.

The Super Elliott bike shop co-sponsors a pretty good amateur racing team, along with Cooper's Ale. I highly recommend the ale, especially the Vintage Ale if you can find it. Yes, that was part of my extensive research into this marque.

PS the correct spelling is Super Elliott, but for some reason it's customary to refer to them in plural, even when talking about a single example (another of those language variants we're so fond of discussing). So if you're searching for more info, be sure to use both correct spellings as well as the usual mis-spelling!
