My apologies if this has already posted. I've been having trouble with my e-mail, and I couldn't verify that this post actually made it to the list.
There will be a ride celebrating Ernesto Colnago's Birthday on Sunday February 12 (the actual hallowed day is Feb. 9).
The ride leaves from Dana Point Harbor, follows mostly bike-path (with a few miles on PCH and Crown Valley) to the base of Saddleback Mountain, and lunch at an eatery of legendary reputation there at the end of the bike-path, Cook's Corner.
The ride starts at 10am sharp from the parking lot at the north end of Dana Point Marina (near the swimming beach).
The ride out has a couple of short, steep hills. Nothing serious. The ride back is almost entirely downhill, except for the very end, which involves a bit of mild climbing. It's a pleasant, scenic ride.
Bring any Colnago, of any vintage, or, if you don't have a Colnago bring whatever you like (we'll be riding our Jackesto Taynago...).
Total distance traveled is probably around 40 miles, easy to medium difficulty. It's a workout, but it won't kill you (assuming Baylis doesn't go busting off the front...<g> )
If you need directions or more information, e-mail me.
