I have recently inherited an old 55 cm 1960's or maybe 70's Carlton frame.

I need assistance in I.D.ing this frame as it is all "Lagoon Blue" re-paint with no decals. Just the head badge only.

The serial number is F1503 on the underside of the BB with 366 on the opposite side.

"Cinelli style" slopping fork crown. Wrap-over beefy seat stays. Rapid taper (no indentation) chain stays.

Italian style short pointed lugs (Bocama maybe) with no windows. Zeus drop-outs with fender eyelets. Short 6" chrome on stays and forks ends.

No braze-ons except on chain stay for deraileur and D.T. lever stop.

The tubing appears to be Reynolds 531 DB and wonder if the serial number would date the year as March 1966.

I suspect that this is the "Professional" model as I have seen a similar Raleigh (Carlton) Pro frame on the Cycle-Art web site.

Would anyone know how this frame was detailed? Also, what equip would it have come with when new?

Your help would be much appreciated. A digital pic available if necessary.
