Allins was started in 1918 first called Allin & Grubb. Yes this was the famous Fred Grubb and A.H.Allin. They split up in 1920 and it was really bitter dispute. The 46 Allin Doug refers to is one of his sons, I believe he had two. I published all of this on the CR site when I joined the list donkeys years ago also supplied the Veteteran Cycling Club with a small written history on Allins that I wrote myself with all sources and references noted so they could be cross checked and verified, but it never got published. Best wishes Mick.

Thats all for now. Keep those wheels spinning, in your memories if not still on the road. Be lucky Mick Butler Huntingdon UK.
