Evening Folks,

Doug Van Cleve asked:

"..... but I am wondering what typical 1975 road bike gearing would have been......."

Hmm...My 1971 Peugeot PX-10 was geared: 52/45 in the front and 14/21 (5 spd); My 1973 Raleigh RRA was 52/42 and 13-22 (6 spd); and my 1975 Colnago was 53/42 and 13-23 (6 spd).

These days, I'm quite content with 50x34 (Stronglight 99) and 14-26 (5 spd) - and it's hard to find any flat land around these parts!
