Going to head into Richmond tomorrow morning to do a spoke order and finally get this long put-off set of tubular wheels built. However, I've got one question that I'd like to throw out to the group:
My rims are a set of NOS Nisi, and the rim itself is stamped "Nisi Montcalieri Torina Italia". The sticker itself says "Cerchi Nisi Montcalieri". Going through the Spocalc.xls rim database, I'm finding a few Nisi 700C tubular rims listed, but none match a Montcalieri. Anyone got an idea of what I have here?
If Nisi kept to the same standards throughout their line, this shouldn't be a problem, as all the tubular rims listed have effective rim diameters of either 617 or 618mm. I just want to make sure I haven't ended up with the black sheep of the line. I'm building them on a pair of Campagnolo low flange hubs, and Spocalc is telling me I need either 302.5 or 300.7 spokes, respectively.
Any advice anyone's got will be appreciated - this'll be my first wheel building job in 30 years, so of course I'm nervous before I start.
