Ken Toda is quite correct. Two grades of AVA rims. Now if my memory is correct, the lower grade AVA was found on the Internationals, while the blue labeled AVA with eyelets was found on the Pro's of the period.

For the typical mid-70's International, the rim was an AVA tubular 36 hole.

Hi Mike,

There were two grades of AVA rims, if I remeber correct. The BLUE only trim diamond and RED-BLUE on the other. One had no eyelets (rivett holed), the other was plain holes.

Like Campy "Record" vs. "Gransport". Or I am dreaming sometning?

Thanks for digging out my memory.
