While I'm admitting mistakes...I've realized that I didn't mean Nuovo Record anyway. I meant just plain Record, as in the 60's version. I checked in a 1964 "Gene Portuesi's CYCLOPEDIA" (a mail order catalog) and it offers both the Gran Sport and Record rear derailleurs. Reid Fisher kindly replied to my question and advised that his 1964 Carlton Flyer has the Weinmann levers with integral quick release. Can anyone else verify the levers being available as contemporary to the Record rear derailleur?
