I've been hanging around for a few months now, and here is my story. I've been in San Diego most of my life and have raced road & track off & on for 33 years. I've known some of the locals here since the dark ages. Rob Roberson built my first set of racing wheels when he worked at Frank Appel's shop in the early 70's. I raced with Joe Bell and bought a nice Gios frame from Bill Holland when he owned Casa de Oro Cycles and sponsored SDBC, of course that was before JB was a frame painter and Bill was a frame builder. Aside from work and racing, I keep an eye out at auctions and garage sales for quality stuff. Recent finds that I've sold include a nice Jack Taylor tandem (to Jerry Moos) and a 1959 Peugeot. Aside from my current stable of modern race bikes I've got a 1970 Raleigh Pro, 1971 Stella, 1970's Colnago Super, a Raysport-Windsor, a Stinsman Veloce fixed/roadie, a Tesch and a Della Santa. In the works is a Bates canti-flex frame I'm building up and a Litespeed that Bilenky is adding couplers to.
