Whenever the weights of tubular rims comes up in discussion, the first thing I'm wondering about is the age of the rims and whether it is extruded (modern, OT) or made from formed tubing, the old way. Even my deep Roval rims are made this way, but aren't all the newer ones made from heavy extrusions, for the benefit of a wider, flatter brake track and the possibility of more sharply profiled cross-sectional features? The difference in weight is pretty dramatic, as with the new vs old GP4 and the obsolescence (?) of sub-350g tubular rims.
