Hi Rich,
From what I can see in the photos, your De Rosa is nearly identical to
the one I recently purchased. I have the same bottom bracket, but mine
has the number "1" stamped into it. (Gee, maybe I have serial number 1,
the first ever De Rosa! <grin>) See:
http://www.wooljersey.com/
It is also similar to Ray Dobbins' 1986 bike:
http://www.raydobbins.com/
You might check the De Rosa catalogs on Mark Bulgier's site. Look
particularly at the 1986 catalog:
http://bulgier.net/
Although mine was said to be from 1982, I've concluded it is newer than that because it has "rifled" tubing, indicating Columbus SLX tubes, that came out in 1983-84. Closest I can come to dating mine is "mid 1980s".
Notable details on yours: 1) It has the bridgeless bottom bracket shell 2) braze on top tube cable guides 3) I can't quite tell for sure, but it appears to have a braze on front derailleur bracket 4) two sets of water bottle braze-ons 5) chrome fork crown
Yours looks like it has a Columbus decal. What type tubing does it say? That might help you date it.
If you find evidence that helps date yours more precisely than "mid 1980s", let me know! It might help me narrow the dates for mine.
Good luck,
David
