hello all, I will be hosting a cr vintage ride in monmouth cty.new jersey beginning at allaire state park and ending at the atlantic ocean in manasquan (and back needless to say),courtesy of the state of new jersey,which was kind enough to build and recently complete and dedicate a pathway for the relative safety, comfort ,and edification of cyclists.hopefully the path will be relatively free of pedestrians,horses ,baby carriages etc.but this will be a leisurely ride through the foliage to the ocean and should be enjoyable in any event,i rode a few miles of it yesterday evening and though it has its share of road crossings it was quite pleasant to ride a paved road with no motor vehicles. there is a local cyclery relatively nearby in brielle that has some nice vintage bikes and frames on display.

I will tentatively plan it for the second sunday in october the 15th,to meet between 9.00 and 10.00 AM at the parking lot(for the bike path) and to depart by 10.30.. as it stands now the weather is sunny and clear for the 14th high of 62 low of 50 hopefully sunday will be more of the same.I am looking for feedback from riders who would like to take part before the cycling season is over.I'll reply with more details (directions etc.). kevin ruberg howell nj usa ps the theme could be wool jerseys wear one and more if you 've got it.please reply off list to _kvnmuadib@aol.com_ (mailto:kvnmuadib@aol.com)
