A number of locals mentioned that they had not seen the notice for the Baldy ride..so here it is one more time. Sorry about that..
Saturday, November 11, 2006. Vintage ride up Glendora Mountain Road to Baldy Village, back down Baldy road, to Claremont for lunch. This is a gorgeous, scenic ride. 5500 feet of climbing in 22 miles. It'll give you a workout, but is far from impossible. I know there are a LOT of Southern California riders on this list who never come to rides..well, this is one not to miss.
Meet at Pioneer Park in Azusa at 9:30am for departure at 10am. Total ride distance is about 55 miles. Bring plenty of water, energy food and patience. Carmen and I will bring up the rear, we're gonna tandem up that hill!
Please e-mail me privately to let me know if you're coming, so we know to wait for you if you're late..<g>
So far, attendees include:
Sterling Peters Chris Kostman Carmen and Charles
Who else??
Charles Andrews SoCal
"our brains are wired to see connections and correlations, not coincidences and happenstance. Moreover, our brains are wired to believe that a correlation is also a cause. The same part of the brain that lets us learn what we need to know and find the things we need to stay alive is also the part of the brain that produces delusional thinking and conspiracy theories"
