To save others some time and hassle...

I tried fitting my TA rack to Weinmann centerpulls and I couldn't figure it out. From what I remember, either the spacing wasn't correct or the Weinmanns didn't disassemble at the pivots.

It was easier to just swap the front Weinmann for a Mafac Racer and it worked.

>Do you think the TA racks work on the bolts of the Mafac 2000 centerpulls ??

They do work with Mafac 2000 (which have the same geometry as Racers). I have seen one mounted on an otherwise rackless Singer "sport-touring" bike (ordered without racks by a U.S. customer).

The racks can be bent to fit a lot of configurations.

Existing bolts work, but the Herse-style bolts that separate the attachments would be nice in this application. -- Jan Heine Editor Bicycle Quarterly 140 Lakeside Ave #C Seattle WA 98122 http://www.bikequarterly.com
