I obviously haven't seen this bike in person, but unless there is some serious interior rust in the tubing, it looks like it should clean up fairly well, maybe not to mint condition without a complete restoration. However, with a little effort, it could at least be presentable and rideable. This is the kind of project bike I would like. It has that antique, "been to the front lines" look about it. Without entering into another debate, I'd probably clean it up as much as possible and just put it on display. I personally like to take an old rust bucket and see how far I can go with it, it's like a challenge. I have an almost pristine Cinelli, so having one in this condition wouldn't cause me any grief. Sometimes the old "rust buckets" make the better riders. But... it all depends how high the bids go. At the present price...maybe, any higher-maybe not.
