As the body of my front derailleur on my Tour de France cracked while riding this afternoon, and as I don't really trust the original rear derailleur even though it's working OK (it's the one that threw the chain, locked the rear wheel, and broke my wrist), I'm looking for a new (or newish) pair of Simplex Criteriums.
Don't need mint, this bike has a nice, original, 35 year old Gitane paint job, so it's hardly a showpiece. And it's in daily rotation with the other three in the garage. I am looking for clean, good condition however. Can do payment either by PayPal or personal check.
If you've got a set of levers to match, I'd be interested in those, too. Had to canabalize parts from my Prestige set to make up some plastic failure in the department, too.
For those who will consider suggesting an upgrade, I got a set of alloy LJ's a while back, and rode them for a week or two. I was really disappointed in the performance, much to my surprise, and they didn't work all that well with the upgraded 'Criterium' levers. I ended up remounting the Criteriums.
