Vittoria made some tire covers that are still available in a couple of places. Different than the vinyl versions most of us are familiar with, these are rubber, sort of tire-like and are stretched over the mounted tire for a tighter fit. Probably much more protective than the vinyl ones too, but more difficult to use. Depends on what you really want them for, I guess. I have a couple pair, and the are kinda cool, in a funky sort of way. I've only seen them in the Celeste color that I have, but they may have made others. I like the older vinyl covers better, especially the ones with logos because they are better for display. I have some of those badged as Vitus, Suntour and was even given a pair originally from frame builder Colin Laing in Tucson, and I'm always on the look-out for them. They do pop up on eBay from time to time.
