Not really correct to describe the Bugatti bicycle as a 'Moultonesque space
frame'. It seems simply to replace each tube in a conventional frame with four
small tubes. It is difficult to see why. There was also a Carlo Bugatti
bicycle which is even odder. It has a small front wheel and a short wheelbase. I
am sure there must have been a reason for such a design but Bugatti-esque
elegance was not it. As an example of the master's design flair applied to
bicycles, his twin overhead cam Roots supercharged cycle motor hits the mark, but
I suppose that saving muscular effort even in so exquisite a fashion is
off-topic.
